Try Something New...Like Thai Food:)

So I wasn't late for work datay...taydo...today. My gosh I'm must be either really tired or dyslexic. Anyways. I got to work on time:)

I found out that Ms. Emily and I have similar tastes in music minus a few things here and there. I found out that she really likes Iron and Wine (the musical artist not supplements and beverage) specifically the song Flightless Bird, American Mouth. Great, beautiful, emotional song that gets better and better as it goes. I actually explained the song like that to her and her reply after about 37 seconds goes something like, "It does get better!" Gordon even likes it a little bit. He really likes more easy listening kind of stuff...and Carrie Underwood (Gordon starts to drool:).

Then the phone rang... and since I am scared to mess up the spiel of, "Bernhardt Wealth Management. This is Elizabeth. How may I help you?" I let it ring a couple times. Then I answered it, did the spiel, and prayed I'd say it right. It was Client #1! He simply called to say that he had a good time and it was a pleasure to meet me and said he hoped we could do it again. Which I would totally say yes! I think that was a very thoughtful gesture on his part and it certainly made me feel good:)

This day the whole office went out to lunch together. They said it was my welcome lunch. I felt so loved after they said that. Fact, people love to be welcomed. We ate Thai food which I had never tried before. Actually when they asked me what I wanted to eat I said either Thai or Indian food because I haven't tried them. I was feeling adventurous. I ate spicy sauteed eggplant, sticky rice, and spring rolls. I liked the rice and spring rolls (even though spring rolls are traditionally not fried, they do that to please us Americans who like everything fried) but if I had to pick I would probably not cook eggplant that long. It's just gotta be tender. We eventually started talking about flags... I don't even remember how we got onto that topic. Way random is all I can say:) So I went into this spiel of how flags are displayed, burned, etc. that lasted probably the whole time we were at the Thai place. Then they all commented that I have a lot of trivial knowledge:)

Later after work Uncle Gordon went to buy a camera. Apparently he wants to learn from me how to take some pictures. So now I have to teach him how to cook AND do photography.

After that we went home and changed and decided to go see Iron Man 2. Oh my gosh! I loved the first one and the second one is so much better! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the company I had with me.

Thus far my week has been full of new and exciting experiences...like eating Thai food:)
